Hey 👋
v0.1.26 is here.

This release is all about smoother workflows, better audio, and clearer browser behavior—plus a pretty big upgrade under the hood for TTS.

🎨 Tool Page UI Improvements

We’ve polished the UI on a few heavily used tools:

  • /add-music/

  • /add-audio/

  • /audio-recorder/

What’s better now:

  • No more tab switching during common workflows

  • The Export button is always visible in the sidebar

Less clicking, less context switching, more “just get it done”.

🎙️ Audio Recorder: WAV Support Added

You can now download recordings as WAV files.

A quick heads-up:

  • MP3 export is temporarily disabled due to browser compatibility issues

  • We’ll add MP3 back once it’s stable across browsers

WAV is rock-solid for now and works everywhere.

🗣️ TTS Upgrade: PocketTTS Is Live

We’ve upgraded the TTS engine on:

  • /tts/

  • /srt-tts/

PocketTTS replaces KittenTTS, bringing:

  • More natural, realistic voices

  • Support for custom voice uploads (voice cloning)

Trade-off:

  • Model size jumped from ~25 MB to 200 MB+

Good news: the model is cached in your browser, so you only download it once.

Bigger model, much better sound.

⚠️ Browser Compatibility Alerts

QuickEditVideo runs entirely in your browser—no servers, no uploads.

Because of that, we’ve added clear alerts when a tool isn’t supported by your current browser.

Known limitations:

  • Audio processing in Safari

  • WebGPU support in Safari

For the best experience, we still recommend Chrome or Firefox.

What’s Next?

More polish, more performance wins, and fewer “why isn’t this working?” moments.

As always—if you hit an issue or have ideas, we’re listening.

Stay tuned 🚀
